STRESS WEEK WITH GOOGLE: How do I reduce my stress?

Let's be real here...99% of people are stressed out on a daily basis. However, I'm sure that close to 0% of those people actually do something to help manage their stress. Yep I caught you didn't I? Why do people think it's normal to overwork yourself to the point of breaking down but not taking time off for your mental state???? *applause* that is just bat sh*t😐

Relieving stress is actually easier than you may think. It can be as simple as taking a deep breath to as serious as running a mile on a treadmill (a deep breath sounds good right about now). Speaking from a college student's perspective I was very stressed freshmen year and I realized I had to start focusing on myself again. So, I started doing the dance and fitness classes and now it is a time out of my day that I look forward to and do for myself.

The most important thing is to really focus on yourself for at least a few minutes throughout the day. Even a nice warm shower where your singing Lady Gaga can relieve some stress. IN THE SHALL-OH SHAAAALO-OH WERE FAR FROM THE ShAlLOw nOwwwWww. *applause applause* I LIVE FOR THE APPLAUSE APPLAUSE APPL- *clears throat* sorry I had a Gaga moment.😊

Here are some helpful tips to help you reduce stress in a nice bulleted format so it's easier to read:

  • Exercise
  • Eat healthy
  • Deep breaths
  • Yoga
  • Naps (Oh wow this is my favorite, avoiding my problems)
  • Good time management
  • Avoid caffeine or jittery drinks
  • Therapy (amiright???)
  • Meditate
  • LAUGH and SMILE 😁
  • Focus on yourself and know that you're doing your best
See the tips are simple it's just up to you to actually do them!! Don't go crazy, don't go stupid, just relaxxxx:)
And Breathe

  1. Applause Applause, you are so right. We live in a time where we literally pre-stress about being stressed like WHATTTTT. Sometimes you just have to remember we only live once so even if you need to take a mental health day to just chill, then do that!
