TRAVEL WEEK WITH GOOGLE: Do you have to be rich to travel?
I mean... you need money for anything. And traveling definitely isn't cheap.
I'm sure if you're anything like me, you try to find deals for basically anything you would spend loads of money on. I'm in college, saving money is a survival skill, it's not being "cheap"😂
And honestly traveling seems like it's out of reach for me financially, and I just can't afford taking days off for myself when I have college and work. You know, adult obligations 😖
Because of that, I can't say I've sat down and genuinely looked at prices for airplane tickets and hotel/resort reservations but I'm sure a trip for 5-7 days out of state will not cost me less than $1000... that sh#t isn't cheap😂
But if I was really pressed to go somewhere I'm sure I could find some way of saving money.
Although it's risky, some friends of mine have told me that if there is a low number of seats left for a flight (like 1-5) the airline sells those tickets for suppppeeeerrrrr cheap. So that is one thing you could look into online basically the night before or even morning of that flight.
Another idea is to just get a large group of friends and split the price of the room with them. Like you could get a suite style type of room with 2 beds and split the price of that room with 4 people. (If you don't mind sharing a bed with your friend) 😂
So no, I wouldn't say you have to be "rich" to travel, but you have to be smart with what you spend your money on and if you have an opportunity to save a little money...

I wanna travel all over so badly!! But I feel like traveling is so expensive...especially if you're high maintenance like me lol!! I don't understand how people backpack across Europe!!
